If you have just become a tutor on TeachOrTutor.com, then you are probably are in search of some ways in which you can advertise your new business. Of course, TeachOrTutor.com does some advertising for you, but it is a good idea to do some of your own marketing as well. So, here are some ideas to get you started:
1. Make yourself some business cards advertising that you have become a tutor. You can then hand these out to people you know. This is not only a simple way to advertise but it is also quite inexpensive. Furthermore, personal contacts are the most powerful and persuasive ones that you can get.
2. Look around to see how the other tutors on TeachOrTutor.com are advertising. The things that they are doing, which grab your attention, are things that you should consider doing as well. Your goal is to be persuasive so that people will want to have you as their tutor.
3. When you become a tutor you will also become your very own marketer as well. Part of this marketing is dependent upon you composing good advertisements. You need to make sure that your advertisements catch attention and demonstrate value.
4. After you become a tutor you should have some of your students write up anonymous testimonials. You can then put pseudonyms with these and use them for advertising as well.
5. Once you develop some good ads, make sure that you create different versions of it with varying lengths and headlines. Make sure that you proofread these ads too. These need to be as professional as possible.

If you would like to advertise your tutoring services locally, then you should:
1. Advertise that you have become a tutor in the local classified paper that comes around in the mail on a weekly basis.
2. Place some ads in the classified section of your newspaper.
3. Print out some flyers to advertise that you have become a tutor. Hang these up at local supermarkets, libraries, campuses, etc.

1. Take some time to join some message boards that discuss parenting issues. Since most of your client’s are going to be parents, you will want to reach out to them. So, place a small ad in your signature and then spend some time posting on these message boards.
2.  Just like there is a classified ad section in your local newspaper, there are also online classified ad sites. Take some time to post your ads on these sites and thus attract some new clients.
